The Teltonika RUT286 without PSU is an industrial LTE Cat 4 router for global IoT and M2M applications. The router uses a Telit Cat 4 modem and supports 4G LTE Cat 4 up to 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload, with 3G and 2G backhaul. For industrial integration, the RUT286 features RS232 and RS485 interfaces with support for protocols such as Modbus, DNP3 and DLMS. The router also supports Wi-Fi 4, two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, two Mini SIM slots and one eSIM with up to seven eSIM profiles. With 9-57 VDC input voltage, active PoE via 802.3af and passive PoE, this model is suitable for professional installations where mobile connectivity, serial communications and flexible power supply come together.

RUT286 technology, interfaces and industrial integration

The Teltonika RUT286 combines mobile LTE Cat 4 connectivity with industrial interfaces and router functionality on RutOS. The router supports 2 x RJ45 Ethernet ports of 10/100 Mbps, including one WAN port and one LAN port, both with IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u and 802.3az support. For wireless connectivity, the device supports 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi 4 in Access Point, Client, Mesh and Multi-AP modes. Serial integration is via RS232 and half-duplex RS485, with features such as console, Serial over IP, modem, Modbus gateway and NTRIP Client. Internal microSD support of up to 2 TB and protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, DLMS/COSEM, OPC UA and BACnet make the router suitable for industrial data links and field integration.

RUT286 management and configuration

For management and configuration, the RUT286 Web UI supports via HTTP/HTTPS, FOTA, SSH, SMS, Call, Email, TR-069, MQTT, SNMP, JSON-RPC and RMS. Through Teltonika Remote Management System, firmware and configuration can be updated for multiple devices simultaneously. The router also supports firmware updates via file, server control, configuration profiles, configuration backup and update without losing existing settings. Thus, the RUT286 aligns with management processes in which local configuration, remote management, firmware management and monitoring are centrally organized.
