Optimising vehicle fleet utilisation through real-time fleet management<\/h3>\n

Terberg Automotive specialises in modular control systems with robust hardware and reliable software for automotive applications. Reliability, durability and performance under demanding operating conditions are at the heart of its solutions.<\/p>\n

The Terberg Automotive user interface uses digital twin technology to display the real-time status of the physical hardware and vehicle. Up-to-date information from more than 300 signals originating from the key components of the waste collection vehicle can be monitored.<\/p>\n

This allows potential maintenance issues to be identified and addressed at an early stage, before they develop into critical failures. The platform also provides fleet management insights, including route information and the current location of vehicles. Fleet managers can therefore monitor the position and movement of every vehicle within their fleet.<\/p>\n

Business Challenge<\/h3>\n

Terberg Automotive wanted to make waste collection vehicles smarter, more efficient and easier to manage by leveraging Industry 4.0 technology. To enable two-way diagnostics and remote maintenance, all key components of the complete waste collection vehicle needed to be reliably connected and available online.<\/p>\n

The main challenge was the continuous collection, transmission and management of large volumes of vehicle data. The Terberg Connect Module collects this data and communicates with the various components of the vehicle. The data needs to be transmitted securely and reliably, enabling faster fault detection, increased uptime and more efficient maintenance.<\/p>\n

Terberg Automotive therefore needed a reliable IoT connectivity solution suitable for professional fleet management, telematics and real-time monitoring of waste collection vehicles.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n

The solution enables data from the vehicles to be securely transmitted to the Terberg Connect Portal. The portal can be accessed from any computer, laptop or tablet with an internet connection. The software can also be integrated with existing fleet management software, creating a seamless user experience and providing more extensive data analysis capabilities.<\/p>\n
