Conneqtech & Capestone offer IoT solution for NH Rental aerial heavy-duty equipment<\/h2>\n\n \n

Rental company NH Rental was looking for a solution to efficiently manage vehicle status and battery life for heavy equipment in dynamic airport environments. At airports, time and efficiency are always at stake. Together with Partner Conneqtech, a solution was sought for being able to check the voltage in their machines so that dead batteries and faulty equipment would be a thing of the past. Conneqtech provided a customized fleet management platform with Capestone providing GPS tracking devices from Teltonika Telematics. The solution provided has enabled NH Rental to scale up and operate more efficiently.<\/p>\n \n <\/div>\n\n \n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Business Challenge<\/strong><\/h2>\n

NH Rental supplies aerial work platforms to technicians at Europe’s busiest airports. For the aircraft themselves, baggage trailers, asphalt transport for personnel and passengers and various maintenance vehicles. For NH Rental, this means tracking electric vehicle charging and preventive maintenance to ensure vehicles remain fully operational. Maintenance and battery replacement of these types of electric boom lifts and scissor lifts is one of the biggest expenses. To remotely monitor the fleet, they sought an IoT solution from partner Conneqtech. Conneqtech is a Dutch company that has been active in the GPS & IoT solutions market since 2011.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n

Solution<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Conneqtech developed a custom platform for NH Rental to measure aerial boom charging status, voltage readings, and track oil usage. This total solution uses Teltonika Telematics’ GPS tracking equipment offered by Capestone. These trackers read sensitive vehicle signals and connect them to GpsGate’s software, a fleet management platform, for a real-time view of the entire rental fleet.<\/p>\n

GpsGate’s software allows staff to proactively monitor equipment signals for long-life equipment. Conneqtech’s total solution has tripled fleet growth, reduced equipment waste and reduced maintenance visits. For example, GpsGate’s software provides reporting capabilities on fuel and oil levels for equipment lifecycle purposes.<\/p>\n

Remote monitoring of battery life and voltage means NH Rental staff do not have to worry about unexpected emergency calls. This means less stress in the workplace, better tooling and ultimately better service to customers.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n
