Giesbers InstallatieGroep has been a leading family business within installation technology for more than 50 years. With core values such as safety, job satisfaction and ownership, the company dedicates itself daily to innovative solutions within sustainable building installations.
In the rapidly growing heat pump market, however, Giesbers ran into a technical challenge: how do you connect heat pumps to the Internet, without depending on the resident’s network?
Giesbers Installation Group stands for smart and sustainable solutions in the field of installation technology. A reliable mobile data connection was needed to control and monitor heat pumps in a renovation project in Nieuwegein. At more and more renovation and new construction sites, Giesbers InstallatieGroep wants to bring heat pumps directly online without using the residents’ private internet. The demand is not only within the current projects in Nieuwegein, Houten and IJsselstein, but is now also on the agenda as an option for a series of future installations. Giesbers therefore needed an optimized, secure and quickly deployable connectivity solution that can be rolled out across projects from now on.

For this project, Capestone put together a total solution consisting of an industrial Teltonika RUT241 router, equipped with a pre-installed Comgate prepaid eSIM and a Teltonika RMS license for remote device management. The RUT241 eSIM is a compact and robust 4G router that operates smoothly on standard 230V power supplies in technical rooms. Thanks to its industrial quality and stable design, this router is well suited for fixed installation in heat pump systems.
Connectivity is provided by a Comgate Prepaid eSIM for the KPN network. This offers Giesbers maximum flexibility: one-time costs without monthly billing. The eSIM is activated by Capestone and linked to a secure private APN, ensuring secure and reliable communication between pump and platform. For remote management, the Teltonika Remote management System (RMS) is used. This allows Giesbers to remotely watch the routers and heat pumps, perform updates and find out malfunctions at lightning speed, without the need for a technician to go to the location.
The chosen router and connectivity solution has now become a project-transcending standard: after the successful implementation in Nieuwegein, Houten and IJsselstein, the same set will henceforth be structurally offered as an option for new orders. Because the heat pump goes online via its own mobile connection, we do not use residents’ internet. They do not notice anything about it and their privacy remains guaranteed. For the installers, this saves time: settings, updates and fault checks can all be done remotely. As a result, fewer trips are needed and projects are delivered faster. Through the Comgate portal, Giesbers can monitor all routers centrally, track data usage and perform upgrades where necessary because the connection is already running on an eSIM.
