Teltonika RUT981 – Global 4G LTE Cat 4 industrial router with Dual SIM, eSIM and WAN failover
The Teltonika RUT981 is a globally deployable industrial LTE router with 4G LTE Cat 4 connectivity (up to 150 Mbps download / 50 Mbps upload) and support for 3G and 2G. This IoT router combines Dual SIM with consumer type eSIM (up to 7 eSIM profiles, including profile download and removal) and supports eSIM bootstrap for initial profile download. For local integration, the router offers 4× Ethernet ports (1× WAN, 3× LAN) and Wi-Fi 4 (802.11b/g/n) 2×2 MIMO in Access Point (AP) and Station (STA) mode. The platform runs on RutOS (OpenWrt based Linux OS) and supports remote management via Teltonika RMS, WebUI, FOTA and more.

In addition to SIM switching, the router supports network backup (Wi-Fi WAN, Mobile, VRRP and Wired options), WAN failover and load balancing. Security, VPN and network segmentation

Remote management and monitoring: RMS, WebUI, FOTA, TR-069 and SNMP
For remote management, the RUT981 supports multiple management methods. Teltonika RMS is available for remote monitoring and management, complemented by WebUI (HTTP/HTTPS) for status, configuration, firmware updates and troubleshooting. Firmware management is also available via FOTA. For management in larger environments, TR-069 (with multiple ACS implementations) and SNMP (v1/v2/v3 + trap) are specified. Also included are SSH, JSON-RPC management API, MQTT broker/publisher, SMS functions and call actions (such as reboot and status).
