Teltonika FMM150 – LTE Cat M1 Advanced tracker with CAN data
The FMM150 is designed for organizations that want to combine vehicle location and CAN data in one installation. Thanks to the integrated CAN data processor, the unit can collect vehicle parameters in addition to GNSS tracking. The unit is deployable in telematics scenarios such as logistics, delivery services, utility transport and car sharing, and supports vehicle types such as light vehicles, electric vehicles, trucks and buses.
Tracking & data
The FMM150 collects GNSS location data via GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU, QZSS and AGPS, with specified tracking sensitivity and accuracy. For CAN data, the unit supports Fuel Level (Dashboard), Total fuel consumption, Vehicle speed (wheel), Vehicle driven distance, Engine speed (RPM) and Accelerator pedal position, among others. For events and driving behavior cases, Green Driving, Over Speeding detection, Jamming detection, Excessive Idling detection, Crash detection, Towing detection, Auto Geofence, Manual Geofence and Trip are specified, among others.
Platform, integrations & management
The FMM150 supports configuration and firmware updates via FOTA Web, FOTA and Teltonika Configurator (USB, Bluetooth®), and FMBT mobile application (Configuration). For communication and management, SMS functions (Configuration, Events, DOUT control, Debug) and GPRS commands (Configuration, DOUT control, Debug) are specified.
Security & reliability
For network communications, the configuration options include TLS encryption (TLS/DTLS) for sending records to main/backup server, with supported TLS versions 1.1/1.2 as specified in the configuration documentation. The enclosure has an Ingress Protection Rating of IP41 and operating ranges (without battery) are specified for temperature and humidity.
Why the Teltonika FMM150?
The Teltonika FMM150 was developed as a compact 2-in-1 telematics unit in which GNSS tracking and CAN readout come together thanks to the integrated CAN data processor. This allows you to combine vehicle location and vehicle parameters in one installation, without a separate CAN adapter. For connectivity, the FMM150 supports LTE Cat M1 and NB-IoT in conjunction with GSM/GPRS, including specified 2G and 4G bands and data rates for sending telematics data. For positioning, the tracker works with multiple GNSS systems and performance such as tracking sensitivity (-165 dBm), position accuracy (< 2.5 m CEP) and hot/warm/cold start times are defined in the product specifications. Via Bluetooth® 4.0 + LE, the FMM150 can additionally pair with specified peripherals, including a temperature and humidity sensor, headset, OBDII dongle and an Inateck barcode scanner. In terms of connectivity options, the platform offers extensive vehicle interfaces and I/O: 3 digital inputs (including negative input and impulse inputs), 2 digital outputs, 2 analog inputs, 2 CAN interfaces and 1-Wire data. Finally, remote management is set up with configuration and firmware update capabilities via FOTA Web, FOTA and Teltonika Configurator (USB and Bluetooth®), complemented by the FMBT mobile application for configuration.
