Teltonika Altos – 5G Wi-Fi 7 Router for Fixed Wireless Access
The Teltonika Altos (CAP700) is an all-in-one 5G Internet solution that mobile connectivity combines with next-generation Wi-Fi 7 in one compact indoor device. Altos is designed for situations where fixed Internet is unavailable, unreliable or simply not desired, such as in homes, home offices and small business environments.
Thanks to built-in 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi 7, multi-gigabit Ethernet Altos offers fast and stable Internet without traditional cabling.
Design and operation
The router has a compact cylindrical housing with internal antennas for both mobile network and Wi-Fi. The design is intended for placement on a flat surface in indoor environments. Status LEDs provide insight into power, Wi-Fi, mobile connection and LAN activity. Physical controls include a combined power/WLAN button and a reset button for reboot or factory reset.
Performance and hardware
The Teltonika Altos is equipped with a Qualcomm processor, 1 GB of LPDDR4 memory and 8 GB of eMMC flash storage. This hardware configuration supports simultaneous use of comprehensive router, security and VPN functionalities as available within RutOS.
Connectivity
The router supports 5G NR up to 4.0 Gbps downlink and 900 Mbps uplink, as well as 4G LTE Cat 19 and 3G. Wi-Fi connectivity is based on IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be (Wi-Fi 7), dual-band, 2×2 MIMO, with support for up to 128 simultaneous clients. Wired connections consist of one Gigabit LAN port and one combined WAN/LAN port up to 2.5 Gbps. There is also an RJ11 port for telephony purposes and a micro-USB interface for virtual network functionality.
Rugged certifications and reliability
The Teltonika Altos is intended for indoor use and has an IP30 rating. The device is certified to CE, UKCA, EAC, RCM, CB and WEEE, among others. The permissible operating temperature range is between 0 °C and 45 °C, with a relative humidity of 5% to 95% (non-condensing).
Applications
The Altos is suitable for Fixed Wireless Access scenarios in residential and business environments, such as home workstations, small offices, temporary locations and service provider deployments. With support for RMS, TR-069 and various VPN and security features, the router is also deployable in managed networks and large-scale deployment projects.
