The Poynting 5G Puck Antenna is a compact SISO transport and IoT/M2M antenna for 5G, LTE/4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, LoRa and Bluetooth applications. The antenna supports a wide frequency range from 617 to 6000 MHz and is designed for transportation, maritime applications, IoT/M2M, smart metering, agriculture and industrial environments, among others. With a maximum gain of 5.5 dBi, an omnidirectional antenna pattern and SISO construction, the PUCK-1 is suitable for installations where a compact, wide-area antenna is required. The housing is rugged, vandal-resistant, UV-stable, fire-retardant and IP69K-rated. The various mounting options allow the antenna to be placed on vehicles, masts, walls, surfaces and marine rails.

Poynting 5G Puck antenna technology, connections and integration

The Poynting 5G Puck Antenna combines a wide frequency range from 617 to 6000 MHz with support for modern mobile technologies up to 5G. The antenna operates within frequency ranges such as 617-960 MHz, 1427-1517 MHz, 1710-2700 MHz, 3400-4200 MHz and 5000-6000 MHz. The PUCK-1 uses a SISO configuration with one LTE port and an SMA male connector, with the coaxial cable and connector factory-mounted to the antenna. The linearly vertically polarized antenna has a nominal impedance of 50 Ohms and a VSWR of ≤2.5:1 over 90% of bands. The compact design and included mounting options allow the antenna to be integrated into vehicle, maritime, IoT and industrial installations.
