The Digi IX30 is a high-performance industrial 4G LTE router designed specifically for mission-critical applications in sectors such as energy, industrial automation, transportation, water management, remote asset monitoring and smart infrastructure. This intelligent router combines robustness, extensive connectivity and advanced edge computing functionality in one scalable solution.
With global LTE and HSPA+ support, dual SIM slots and Digi’s patented SureLink® technology, the IX30 provides highly reliable mobile connectivity. Combined with VRRP+ and failover mechanisms, this ensures continuous availability of network services even in remote or hard-to-reach environments.
The router features various I/O connections, including analog and digital inputs/outputs, RS-232/422/485 serial communication and two Ethernet ports. This makes the Digi IX30 ideal for controlling field devices such as sensors, PLCs, SCADA systems, flow meters and IP cameras. Support for Modbus bridging makes integration with industrial protocols easy.
With Digi Containers, you have the ability to run containerized applications onsite. This enables real-time data processing at the edge, without depending on central servers. This reduces response time and network load – a key benefit for Industrie 4.0 applications.
The router features GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo) for accurate location determination and is suitable for private LTE networks via CBRS and Anterix™, and also supports FirstNet® for emergency communications. The Digi IX30 is ATEX and C1D2 certified, IP30 rated and DIN-rail mountable, making it deployable in explosive or demanding environments.
Management & security
The Digi IX30 comes standard with the Digi 360 solution, which includes 1 year of access to Digi Remote Manager® (Digi RM). This cloud platform allows organizations to remotely configure, monitor, manage and secure their entire router fleet. Security features such as VPN (IPSec, OpenVPN, L2TP), firewall with stateful inspection, authentication (RADIUS, TACACS+), VLAN support and scripting are integrated as standard.
