Teltonika Altos – 5G Wi-Fi 7 Router for Fixed Wireless Access
The Teltonika Altos is a compact indoor 5G router that combines high-speed mobile Internet access with next-generation Wi-Fi 7 in one all-in-one Fixed Wireless Access solution. This makes Altos suitable for locations where fixed Internet is not available, underperforms or where you deliberately choose a flexible 5G connection without installing cabling. Think of home offices, small offices, temporary locations, service points and situations where going online quickly is essential. This version features a UK Type G plug, making it suitable for use in the UK.
Altos runs on RutOS and was developed with scalability and manageability in mind. As a result, the device suits not only end users who want a stable 5G connection with good Wi-Fi coverage, but also partners and resellers who want to roll out a reliable FWA solution. For remote management, Altos supports Teltonika RMS and TR-069, allowing monitoring, configuration and firmware management to take place centrally within managed environments and large-scale deployments.
Why Teltonika Altos?
Altos is designed for organizations and partners looking to deploy 5G as a primary Internet connection or as an alternative to landlines, with modern Wi-Fi 7 performance and features that align with professional network management.
For partners, this means an FWA router suitable for rapid deployment, centralized management via RMS and deployment in managed services. Additionally, RutOS provides support for router and security functionalities such as VPN and firewall, making Altos also a logical fit in environments where network segmentation, remote access and management standards are important. For end users, this means: one device for 5G and Wi-Fi, fast online with no installation wait time and a stable connection for everyday applications such as working from home, video calling and cloud use.
Design and operation
Designed for placement in indoor environments, the Teltonika Altos has a compact cylindrical housing that you easily set down on a flat surface. Internal antennas are integrated for both mobile connectivity and Wi-Fi, keeping the device sleek and practical to use. Status LEDs provide insight into key functions such as power, Wi-Fi status, mobile connectivity and LAN activity. Physical buttons are provided for local control, including a combined power/WLAN button and a reset button for reboot or factory reset.
Performance and hardware
Internally, Altos is based on a Qualcomm platform, combined with 1 GB of LPDDR4 working memory and eMMC flash storage. This hardware is designed to keep RutOS running stably and supports router functionalities often needed in FWA scenarios, such as network management, security settings and VPN applications. This makes Altos suitable for long-term deployment in situations where the router needs to stay online continuously and multiple users connect simultaneously.
