In the dynamic world of construction projects, reliable connectivity plays an increasingly important role. Whereas construction sites used to run largely offline, today a stable internet connection is essential for digital work processes, cloud applications and communications.
Ten Brinke used simple routers on construction sites with German SIM cards, which had to roam within the Netherlands. This regularly caused problems with coverage and stability. At several locations in both the Netherlands and Germany, the network did not have sufficient coverage, which meant that employees in the construction site did not have a stable connection.
In addition, Ten Brinke wanted more control over the network on the construction site, to better support users in case of problems. Here, the existing solution did not offer sufficient insight and management options.
In short, there was a need for a reliable, network-independent and future-proof solution that guarantees stable connectivity on any construction site, with the ability to easily manage and scale the network.
Capestone was asked to help think about a new network solution for Ten Brinke’s construction sites. Working closely with Comgate, Capestone proposed a 5G All-in-One Box: a complete 5G solution that is easy to install and offers immediate stable internet.
The box consists of a 5G Router combined with an industrial switch for wired connections, and an access point for a powerful Wi-Fi signal in the construction site. The 5G All-in-One Box is mounted on the outside of the container for optimal coverage.
Connectivity is provided via Comgate IoT Europe-simcards and a Comgate Backup Iot sim. This network-independent solution allows Ten Brinke to automatically use the strongest available network on each project.
Remote management uses a Remote Management System, which allows all routers to be centrally managed, monitored and updated. This solution is pre-configured and supported by Capestone Priority Support, so Ten Brinke is assured of prompt service and support every step of the way.
