The Digi TX64 is the high-performance router for the most demanding mobility applications. This powerful 5G and LTE-Advanced Pro router is built for complex environments such as public transportation, emergency services, fleet and industrial networks. With dual 5G/LTE modules, dual Wi-Fi 6 and comprehensive security, the TX64 offers ultimate reliability and flexibility, including centralized control via Digi Remote Manager – included as standard in the Digi 360 package.

Advanced networking capabilities

• Dual 5G / LTE-Advanced Pro Cat 20 modules: Global support on numerous 5G NR Sub-6 GHz and LTE-Advanced Pro bands. Thus, the TX64 provides coverage on virtually every commercial network.

• Gigabit throughputs: Thanks to technologies such as EN-DC, carrier aggregation and a powerful quad-core processor.

• Fallback on 3G: Automatic fallback for maximum availability even when 5G or LTE is down.

Wi-Fi 6 with segmented networks

• Private backhaul: Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) at 5 GHz, with 4×4 MIMO and support for up to 128 clients. Perfect for internal systems such as ticketing, CCTV or data offload.

• Public passenger network: Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 / 5 GHz) 2×2 MIMO for up to 128 passengers, including captive portal, RADIUS authentication and agency branding.

• Isolated networks: Separation between public and private networks ensures that critical onboard systems always maintain priority.

Robust hardware and flexible connections

• Ethernet & serial ports: 4x Gigabit RJ-45 (auto-sensing, configurable as LAN or WAN) and 1x RS-232 DB-9 serial interface for integration with existing equipment.

• USB & GNSS: 3x USB 3.0 Type A for peripherals or data, plus GNSS (GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS) with Untethered Dead Reckoning (UDR) and geofence support.

• Power: Direct integration into vehicles with 9 – 36 VDC power input via a sturdy 3-pin terminal block with ignition sense and reverse pole protection.

Enterprise-level security and networking features

• Security from day one: Digi TrustFence® framework including secure boot, encryption, certificate management and FIPS 140-2 compliance.

• Advanced firewall & VPN: Stateful firewall with iptables, IP filtering, VLANs, OpenVPN and IPsec with strong encryption (AES up to 256-bit) and SHA-256/512 hashing.

• Failover and high availability: Supports VRRP, Ethernet bridging and bonding, plus Digi SureLink® for automatic failover and maximum uptime.

Centralized control with Digi 360

• Digi Remote Manager: Included in Digi 360 package. Easily manages and configures large numbers of routers remotely. Also supports containers and Python scripts for custom apps.

• Always up-to-date: Schedule firmware updates, make configuration changes and get visibility into performance and security status, all from one cloud portal.

• Vehicles & emergency vehicles: E-Mark certified, compatible with FirstNet Trusted™ and Verizon Frontline for primary emergency services and critical communications.

• Robust construction: Aluminum IP40 housing, resistant to vibration, shock, dust and extreme temperatures (-30 °C to +70 °C). Tested according to MIL-STD 810G.
